Yes, GSCC does take insurance! We accept many major insurance plans! Please visit our insurance page for more information. If you have more questions, please contact our intake department

What if I don’t have insurance?

GSCC offers self-pay sessions, and also may offer a sliding scale fee on case-by-case basis for persons open to working with our Masters Level Interns.

How do I decide on a therapist to meet with?

Review our Clinicians,  Directors, & Supervisors to become familiar with the different therapists on our staff. When you speak with GSCC to schedule your intake appointment, the client scheduling representative will work with you to help you find a therapist that meets your needs and fits with your schedule.

When should I arrive for my first appointment?

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your first appointment to make sure we have all paperwork that is needed for your session. Kindly visit our Patient Portal to submit your new client forms online. If you are unable to complete your forms online, please contact our office as soon as possible. Completion of online forms is required for all new patients.

What will happen during my first appointment?

During your first appointment, called the Intake appointment, you will meet with your therapist to review GSCC procedures and develop a plan. You and your therapist will review your completed Mental Health Assessment and begin to discuss your goals for treatment. Please make sure to ask your therapist any questions that come up during your Intake appointment!

How often will I have therapy sessions?

At your intake appointment, you and your therapist will discuss how often your scheduled therapy sessions will occur. Most sessions occur either weekly or bi-weekly, but this will be determined between you and your therapist. The frequency of your appointments can be changed throughout the course of your treatment to meet your individualized needs, also.

What if I cannot make an appointment?

If you are unable to make an appointment, please contact your therapist as soon as possible or call the Practice Scheduling line (941) 893-3755, Extension 101. If an appointment is canceled with less than 24-hour notice, you may be subject to pay a $60.00 late cancellation fee.
