Connie Reinhard is the Clinical Director at Gulf Shores Counseling Center. She earned her masters degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and has been providing counseling services to clients for over 33 years. She is a qualified supervisor in the state of Florida. She is licensed in the states of Ohio, Washington State and Florida offering in person and telehealth sessions to individuals ranging from the ages of 10-95.
Connie has a long history of working with first responders, and those who are actively serving or have served in the military providing trauma therapy, healing and recovery. She worked with first responders in Ohio creating the first Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team and was an active member for 11 years. She has received an award from the Governor of Ohio for her work in mental health.
Connie uses a variety of therapy styles including psychotherapy, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, strength based, CBT, trauma therapy,reflective listening and supportive reflection. She was trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has used EMDR to help individuals with trauma, anxiety, phobias and depression.
